PEPPY COLT BORN IN NORWAY!

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

Ingrid and Nicolaas Kram of Norway purchased an Atwood Ranch mare in 2008 named Katsy Broadway Dox.  They left Katsy in the states for a bit then bred her to our stallion One Smart Peppy in 2009.  We donated the breeding fee to the Parelli Scholarship Fund to support those seeking career training and certification.  Fast forward, a handsome colt was born in April 2010!  Congratulations to Ingrid, Nick and Katsy on their “Little Peppy”.

ATWOOD ASSOCIATES START TWO-YEAR-OLDS

Sunday, September 19th, 2010

We are constantly having inquiries about riding horses.  In an effort to help those who may not be ready for the yearling experience we offer a select group of two- and three-year-olds ,who have been through our pre-school program as yearlings, to Parelli Professionals in our area to start under saddle.  These young riding horses are available for sale and are already doing some pretty awesome things!  Some have videos on YouTube linked through our website and others are working on that now.  David and Jody Ellis have an appendix Colonel Doc Bar Chex filly and a One Smart Peppy gelding this year.  Cezanne DeCristoforo has 3 fillies by 3 different AR stallions.  Maurice Thibault has a Boot Scootin Dually three-year-old, while Jake Shoemark recently picked up one of our Red Fire (TB) offspring.  Some of these young horses are doing their Parelli Patterns, others are trail riding, and several are following and gathering cattle already!  For details on these and other individuals contact Catherine and she can put you in touch with the professionals developing the two-year-olds that might be best suited to your skill level, interests and goals.

Sunday, September 19th, 2010

Pat announced at the Performance Summit in CO last weekend that AR Especial, the double registered gelding who is an own son of his namesake (our stallion Especial), has a new life partner.  AR Especial was originally a gift from Tom Atwood to Pat after the loss of Revolution.  AR Especial has been a steadfast demo horse for the past couple years on the Parelli Tour Team, in addition to being a part of the Parelli Performance Team in cutting, reining and working cowhorse events.  His new owner, Carlos Osorio, owns The Horse First Farm in Brooklyn, WI.  Congratulations to Carlos and best of luck in all your endeavors together!
